Question: Can my Cabochon Jester be feral?

Answer: Yes, but it is considered non-cannon.

Question: What do Cabochon Jesters eat?

Answer: They eat gems, rocks and crystals as it helps strengthen their gemstone bits so that they don't crack or shatter. They can however eat normal food if they so please, it just holds zero nutritional value for them.

Question: Do Cabochon Jesters have magic?

Answer: Yes, they do have some small amount of magic by nature; however, it can't do anything crazy in its base form. They can however choose to study magic and strengthen their skills as well as learn new spells to become powerful mages if they so choose.

Question: Can I hybridize Cabochon Jesters?

Answer: No, Cabochon Jesters are only capable of producing offspring between themselves. 

Question: Do Cabochon Jesters have genders?

Answer: Yes, Cabochon Jesters have as many genders and gender identities as humans.

Question: What happens if a gem on my Jester cracks?

Answer: If an accident occurs and any gem on the cabochon Jesters body cracks, they become extremely susceptible to infection. While the gem will eventually heal, depending on the severity of the crack the longer it takes to heal and the more likely it is that your Cabochon Jester will get an infection.

Question: Are there or will there be any closed subspecies of Cabochon Jesters?

Answer: No, not for the foreseeable future at least. I intend to keep this species fully open as I personally do not feel I could handle the stress of moderating any closed species or species subtypes.
